Giving Tuesday
#GivingTuesday . Just this last Tuesday was GivingTuesday! A day that has been expanded across America and now the world; promoting giving and helping others. A few companies to partner with the organization to help increase the success and benefit of the day were Dicks Sporting goods, HubSpot and Causecast. The day is revolutionizing corporate philanthropy by having full-profit companies support the cause with the non-profit organizations that are involved. These large profit companies bring in a base of customers that could never be assembled by the organization itself and a substantial amount of awareness about the day is created. With the companies help Giving Tuesday is able to be extremely successful and will hopefully have more partners in the years to come.
My view on The "Buying Season"
Black Friday, a day recognized by almost as much people as Thanksgiving and Christmas is, but still growing every year. The day is beginning to become a holiday on itself, with people flocking to stores, weighting in lines for unnecessary amounts of time and sales on products that are extremely overrated. Although this day allows for huge profit to be made and a economic boost every year, there is something wrong. The whole idea about the holiday season is to give back to others out of pure kindness. Its practically barbaric how people fight and sometimes get killed on this day just for some "saved" money, which people will just end up spending on more stuff. There are places in the world that lack sanitary water and consistent food sources but yet they do not have as much anarchy as this day does. Instead of trying to force in more profit on a single day, when you have an entire holiday season of it, maybe give back to the community more. I think all parties involved could be more proactive and try to put more effort towards a day like giving Tuesday.
Tesla-Human resources
One of the companies I have invested in and I suggest investing in, is Tesla. Their main site is http://www.teslamotors.com/ and is appealing and factual to explore through. One thing about their site that stuck out to me was there easy access job search within site. The HR can be seen as very established on the site and obviously tries to get new people working for the company by offering a variety of jobs . Although the external recruiting is very impressive they also focus on internal by having constant revaluations of workers and adjusting them to the right position to best benefit the company, while also having the needs of the employees met. Tesla is a company to look out for.
